If anyone asked me which year in my life had the greatest impact on me, I would say 2013. When I was a freshman in college, my mother and father were hospitalized one after another, and my father was particularly ill. That summer, he was lucky enough to get a new liver so that he could continue his life journey. However, When I realized that health and life was the only thing that mattered, I couldn't find any other meaning in life. When I returned to my hometown in 2014 after a year's absence, I realized I needed to do something, so I started this project. I started photographing my family and my hometown. I don't know how to describe this feeling. What drives me is not all my yearning for family affection and missing my hometown. I think it is more like a self-redemption, and the act of taking photos has become a psychological healing. These photos became my emotional outlet.
